Hi, My name is John. I was browsing through for help with addiction recovery, having survived growing up in a military family plagued with alcohol addictions on both sides of my family when I came upon Jacob's site. I am a writer as well and still struggling to believe in myself. I am Deeply Touched by Jacob's story and send my deepest heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. As a Canadian, I have always admired the Bold Bright Spirit of So Many Young Americans like Jacob, who reminds me a bit of Jack Kerouac, who was a Canadian on his mother's side. Thankfully Jacob's words shall be heard thanks to the written word and your beautiful tribute to such a young and brave spirit whose life has touched mine and rekindled some hope for my own search of self.
