This is not a note of remembrance but rather a note of feeling. I never met Jacob, or any of his family or friends. I just finished reading Distortion Lens and just wanted to let anyone who knew and cared about Jacob that it was one of the best novels I have ever read. I am not on the same intellectual level as Jacob, or his writing, but yet I still felt a sense connection to the characters and to the novel itself. I felt that unexplainable sensation of not being able to put a book down because i was so captivated by the writing. I would also like to thank Lucy Waletzky for sending me the novel, it was greatly appreciated.
