Jacob Peter Waletzky died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20, 2001. He was 29 years old. He graduated from Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C. in 1989 and graduated cum laude from Yale University in 1993. He studied philosophy at the University of Chicago. In early May 2001, he completed his coursework for his M.F.A. in the Writing Division at Columbia University. He is survived by his ever loving parents, Lucy Waletzky and Jeremy Waletzky, his adoring sister Naomi Waletzky, his loving grandfather Laurance S. Rockefeller and his beloved girlfriend Dana Goodyear. We can't imagine life without him.
