quin,
happy birthday.happy new year.it was 10 (-19 with the windchill )as i pedalled to class this morning. it was the last time i will ever do such a thing. having realized that my philosophical project is impossible and that my interest in philosophy does not extend to historiography, otiose conceptual engineering, or barely disguised pseudo-critical wishful thinking, i have decided to make a very early exit. i have the later wittgenstein, most prominently, to thank for the rapidity with which i was able to traverse such a grand history and scurry away. but it was immanent anyway, it's imminency being the only thing in question, unfortunately what dwells in that narrow space is only rather pretentious common sense dressed up as critical faculty and unfelicitously circumscribed by severe ( due to problems of incompleteness on the one hand and inconsistency on the other ) theoretical constraints summarizable as nothing interesting is possible . anyway apologies for the tedious didacticism. i'ill be at this address for two days max and then available at my old aol (jacobwa). my plan for the future is to return to writing. i'm working on something entitled spiritually thwarted males. fortunate to have so many friends as character studies, i will want to arrange time for extensive interviews with you most prominantly.
all regards to your new lady.
jake
